The Gallery of Modern Art and the Queensland Art Gallery will host more than 100 contemporary artists from twenty-five countries for the sixth edition of the Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT) from December 5, 2009 through April 5, 2010. The APT is the Queensland Art Gallery’s flagship international contemporary art event – a multicultural exhibition. Established in 1993, it is the only major series of exhibitions in the world to focus exclusively on the contemporary art of Asia and the Pacific, and Australia. This sixth exhibition will feature cinematic programming, gallery and artists’ talks, lectures and symposiums and three groundbreaking presentations.
